about Walid

Greetings, I'm Walid Jailani, and I proudly serve as the President and Founder of WEM Club. An organization committed to empowering girls from second-world countries through education and women's empowerment. Currently, I'm an undergraduate student at UC Davis, where I'm studying in the fascinating world of Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior, gearing up for a future in the medical field.

My journey towards making a positive impact recently led me to begin volunteering at the Shifa Community Clinic, where I'm driven to provide vital services to underserved communities. I hold a certificate and am Nationally EMT certified, a testament to my dedication. I've been recognized with the California Region 3 Every Student Succeeding Award, proudly representing the San Juan Unified School District, and I've had the privilege of receiving the prestigious Presidential Medal of Volunteering.

For the past four years, I've been sharing my knowledge and passion through tutoring at Willow Way Tutoring Club and various schools, to empower others to reach their full potential. Fluent in Farsi, Pashto, Dari, and English, I'm a bridge across languages and cultures. My mission is to break down barriers and pave the way for girls in second-world countries to achieve their dreams through education and empowerment. Join us, and let's embark on a journey where opportunities abound and your path to a brighter future begins right here.
